How to ensure uninterrupted power supply to industrial facilities? At the international forum "Electric Networks of Russia — 2024", they discussed what tasks manufacturers of power electrical equipment solve so that consumers are confident in the protection of technological lines and personnel safety.
Dmitry Dryuma, Head of the Business Unit "Power Energy Distribution Systems" at IEK GROUP, said that the company creates its own solutions capable of replacing products of European brands on the Russian market.
In particular, company engineers developed, manufactured, and tested a low-voltage switchgear for currents up to 4000 A. Production capacities were also modernized.
The result was IEK GROUP's flagship, the company's innovative development — the switchgear FORMAT PRO. Two key components of the new system are equipment from the IEK ARMAT line and IEK FORMAT series sectional metal enclosures.
"The premium line of ARMAT power circuit breakers allows us to implement projects of any complexity in power supply. Work is currently underway to create a switchgear for currents up to 6300 A," reported Dmitry Dryuma.
For the new switchgear, IEK GROUP engineers reconsidered the existing solution based on FORMAT frame support racks and developed a new system. Its foundation is safety of operating personnel, flexibility in creating solutions, modularity, convenience, and speed of installation.
The reliability of the switchgear FORMAT PRO is confirmed by a full set of tests, including destructive tests with overcurrents for thermal withstand and short-circuit currents for electrodynamic withstand. Dmitry Dryuma noted that IEK GROUP's goal is to provide consumers with reliable intelligent equipment enabling the digitalization of power supply.
