IEK GROUP helps train specialists for the industry literally from the school bench. The company acted as a partner of the Moscow Children's Championship "Masters" ― IEK GROUP experts were part of the jury for the "Electrical Installation" competency.
The professional skills championship for children is held annually. Schoolchildren from first to eighth grade participate in "Masters". The goal of the tournament is to help them navigate the variety of professions, understand which field of activity they have more aptitude for.
At the championship, children can try themselves in one of 55 professional skills competencies — from bread baking to space systems engineering.
The "Electrical Installation" competency is designed for students of grades 3-4 and helps children learn about the work of electricians — masters thanks to whom homes are light and warm, and enterprises work without failures. The competition description also states that electricians should be able to design power supply systems, install equipment, check it, prepare reporting documentation, conduct maintenance, be able to find faults, and repair installations.
Based on the results of the remote stage, 18 teams advanced to the final of the "Electrical Installation" competency. Each team consists of two students and a mentor. The final competition task was to mount a circuit of power and lighting electrical equipment and perform commissioning. The children had to assemble luminaires with switches on the stand. The jury evaluated not only the result but also the process of task execution: how team members planned the work, how they communicated with each other.
The winner was the team from school No. 1392 named after D.V. Ryabinkin, silver was shared by representatives of GBOU No. 1286, No. 1222, and No. 2073. Bronze — for teams from schools No. 998 and No. 1985.
IEK GROUP is not participating in career guidance events for children for the first time.
"Over seven years, more than 2.5 million schoolchildren have participated in the company's educational projects. In 2024, over 9,500 graduates took exams programming ONI relays," says Natalia Bel'skaya, Director of Human Resources at IEK GROUP. "The company has its own program for children's professional development and develops materials for federal educational programs."
In 2025, in particular, the company plans to hold a thematic session at the children's camp "Zvezdny" (VDC "Orlyonok") dedicated to technological leadership in electrical engineering.
