Uncompromising struggle of electrical installers for victory, a sea of positivity, fans' emotions, pleasant prizes — such was the second semifinal of the Electricians Championship IEK – 2025, which we held on February 27 in Sevastopol.
About 200 electricians from 20 regions of seven federal districts of the Russian Federation fought for the opportunity to get into this semifinal. Those who showed the best results in the qualifying round met at the venue: 10 practicing electrical installers competed in the "Professionals" league, 5 beginning specialists — in the "Juniors" league.

Before picking up tools, electricians had to sit down at laptops. In the first module of the competitions, they had to write a program for energy-efficient management of a "smart" home. Then semifinal participants proceeded to create an electrical installation for household and industrial application.
"A modern electrician possesses not only skills in working with modern equipment and software but also knows foreign languages, domestic and international standards, and masters various programming languages," emphasized Andrey Mochalkin, chief expert of the semifinal in Sevastopol.

While electricians performed the competition task, guests and fans of the Championship were not bored. They could test their skills in master classes on mounting ARMAT modular equipment in metal and plastic enclosures of flagship series TITAN and TEKFOR, try connecting wiring devices from the BRITE and TORS lines. The master classes interested both young visitors and experienced masters.

Visitors could not pass indifferently by stands with IEK products — they wanted to examine and touch everything.

Within the business program of the Electricians Championship IEK, a meeting of the Supervisory Council on the implementation of the Federal Project "Professionalism" took place. It was attended by representatives of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol, heads of leading construction colleges of Sevastopol, employers, including IEK GROUP. They discussed interaction in personnel training between business and educational institutions. Such dialogue allows preparing a specialist trained according to market demands and specific production in a short time.
"Holding the semifinal of the Electricians Championship IEK is a significant event for our city, especially for developing the system of personnel training in such a demanded profession," said Anton Ulyantsev, First Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Science of Sevastopol. "For our students, this is an opportunity to gain unique experience, improve qualifications, learn skills from professionals, and meet representatives of leading city employers."
"Thanks to modern educational programs, even students can compete on equal terms with electricians who already have over 10 years of work experience," believes Petr Nekrasov, Head of the Department for Work with the Expert Community and Educational Institutions at IEK GROUP. "Experienced participants come to the championship to check their level of knowledge and competencies. Moreover, the very fact of participation in competitions is already a small victory: competitive selection reaches 15-20 people per place."
