At IEK GROUP enterprises, a new quality management tool has been implemented — the modern method of analyzing and identifying critical steps in production processes Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (FMEA-АПН). Using this tool, analysis of potential non-conformities and risk assessment in technological processes of product manufacturing are conducted.

This tool is one of the most progressive in the quality management system and allows, through expert opinion of specialists, to assess risks in the technological process, rank them by significance, probability of occurrence and detection, and develop measures to minimize them.
Oleg Ilyin, Deputy General Director for Production at IEK GROUP: "The application of this tool is practiced by many leading companies in various industries: from aerospace to automotive. The tool has proven its effectiveness, so we initiated mastering this method for evaluating our production processes. It helps understand where 'bottlenecks' arise and promptly solve problems." It should be noted that the FMEA-АПН methodology implies regular re-evaluation of risks in the technological process and allows reacting to changes.
The new evaluation tool has already been implemented at IEK GROUP production sites in the Tula and Novosibirsk regions, as well as at plants in Kazan producing LEDEL and FEREKS products. Mastering another product quality control technology is another stage of a large multi-year program, whose goal today is formulated as "Zero defects." The company systematically develops the quality management system, its effectiveness is confirmed by ISO 9001, certificates guaranteeing high quality of goods and services.
