IEK GROUP became a winner of the Investment Leaders Award 2024 in the nomination "M&A Deal of the Year". The award was given for the deal to acquire Russian assets of Legrand Group, which took place at the end of 2023.
As a result of the concluded agreement, IEK GROUP received 4 plants, warehouses, testing centers, and representative offices in 20 cities. The company plans to invest up to 1 billion rubles over 3 years in the acquired assets, which are currently developing under independent brands Daccord and "Kontaktor".
This deal allowed IEK GROUP to expand production, increase the level of product localization, and obtain new opportunities for developing comprehensive solutions, including digital ones. In particular, the FORMAT PRO low-voltage switchboard system, which the company launched on the market in 2024, was tested in the unique electrical equipment testing center based at JSC "Kontaktor".
The award ceremony for the winners took place within the framework of the Investment Leaders 2024 forum. IEK GROUP Financial Director Mikhail Gorbachev also became a participant in the panel discussion "Bond Market: How We Lived Through the Year and What We Expect Next". The speaker spoke about the past bond placements by the company totaling 4 billion rubles, as well as IEK GROUP's response to the challenges of crisis times.
