Dmitry Losev, Director of the Information Technology Department of IEK GROUP, told listeners of the MBA program of the Moscow School of Management SKOLKOVO about the importance of involving people in the digital transformation process.
IEK GROUP has been working in this direction since 2020 and has already accumulated a large base of theory and practice.
"Introducing digital technologies into business processes is not a tribute to fashion, but a matter of company survivability," noted Dmitry Losev.
The speaker spoke about the reasons why IEK GROUP started digital transformation, as well as the steps taken after that decision.
One of the most important was the creation of a digital transformation strategy. At IEK GROUP, it was decided to go along the path of involving the entire team in the process. The goal is the formation of a digital culture, a key success factor of transformation.
"The Digital School project was developed, within which employees develop IT competencies and 'try on' digital professions," shared details Dmitry Losev. "They have the opportunity to put forward digital initiatives, justify the need for their implementation, and assess benefits for the business."
The data-driven approach (based on data) became the new standard of quality management, where decisions are made based on data analysis.
Dmitry Losev also told listeners about priority directions and success factors of digital transformation. If all conditions are met, it will bring the expected effect - an increase in capitalization and growth in the profitability of products and services.
