The IEK GROUP team took first place at the tag rugby tournament for the ETM Cup. The competition was held in St. Petersburg at the Malaya Sportivnaya Arena of the Petrovsky Stadium for the fourth time. The tournament gathered over 1500 guests, including athletes and fans. 12 teams participated, two — from the organizer, the ETM company, and ten — teams of electrical equipment companies.
Tag rugby is a non-contact version of rugby: there is no power struggle and injuries are practically excluded. Each participant wears a belt with Velcro, on which ribbons are attached on the right and left. The task is to tear them off the player holding the ball.
Before the start of the games, the athletes were greeted by ETM Chairman of the Board of Directors Alexander Kuksa and CEO Vladislav Richter: "Every day we work together and help each other do big successful business. And today we have gathered here to become even closer. May the strongest win".
All teams thoroughly prepared for the tournament. At IEK GROUP, the tag rugby team was formed not so long ago — in July 2023, when the company first received an invitation to participate in the ETM Cup.
Last year at the ETM Cup, IEK GROUP took seventh place. But persistence, regular training, and the desire to win paid off: this year, "IEK-ers" met in the final with strong opponents from "Light Technologies." In a tense struggle, the IEK GROUP team won a confident victory with a score of 7:4.

"Congratulations to colleagues on the trophy and well-deserved victory! — says IEK GROUP HR Director Natalia Belskaya. — This is a clear demonstration that in the company we 'work well — rest well,' meaning we strive to maintain a balance between work and personal life. It is important for maintaining physical health and emotional well-being. Among our company's employees, there are many athletes, and we are glad to support their passion."
In addition to the tag rugby team, IEK GROUP has clubs for volleyball, table tennis, football, badminton, running, dragon boat rowing. The company's sports teams regularly participate in various competitions.
