Leading financial market experts gathered on October 23 at the Expert RA conference "The Future of the Bond Market" to discuss ways to restart the IPO market within a specialized session. One of the discussion participants was the first deputy general director of IEK GROUP Mikhail Gorbachev.
Experts analyzed the reasons for the prolonged pause in the IPO market in 2025 and solutions to revive it. One of the session topics was the issue of trust and transparency in the market. Mikhail Gorbachev noted that the problem really exists and is largely related to the fact that not all companies are ready for publicity infrastructurally and in terms of corporate culture. According to him, unprepared forecasts or failure to fulfill stated plans can seriously damage a company's reputation and investor trust for a long time.
He emphasized that IEK GROUP began forming its public strategy long before the current stage: this process started back in 2016 and included the development of strategic planning, financial modeling, and systematic market analysis. In Mikhail Gorbachev's opinion, publicity should become part of corporate culture - a conscious choice of the company, not a formal market requirement.
He also emphasized that for the company, entering the public market is not only a matter of raising capital but also an opportunity to strengthen market trust:
"For us, publicity is, first and foremost, trust. Success, in my opinion, will be for those companies that honestly and consistently talk about themselves to the market, demonstrate transparency, and are ready for dialogue. We have gone from strategy and commercial model to audited financial statements according to international standards and actively test them with investors and the expert community. It is important for us not just to show numbers but to hear feedback, be open to suggestions and adjustments. This, I believe, is the maturity of a business and modern corporate culture."
According to Mikhail Gorbachev, the key to stability is in consistent preparation and proven business model effectiveness: "We operate in conditions of uncertainty but know how to adapt. In the first half of this year, the company showed revenue growth of 19% - this is twice as fast as the market, while the adjusted EBITDA indicator grew by 42%. We know how to act in a crisis and can explain to the market why we are confident in our long-term growth."
