Why should a business be socially responsible and how does IEK GROUP solve this issue for itself, in an interview with the "RBC Industries" portal, was discussed by the company's HR Director Natalia Belskaya.
The focus of the ESG agenda (English Environmental, Social, Governance - environment, social and corporate responsibility) has recently shifted from the environmental component to the social one. This is a response to labor market challenges, in particular, the shortage of qualified personnel. The task of creating and preserving a professional team at the enterprise becomes a priority.
At the same time, the understanding of social responsibility goes beyond caring for employees. Business looks further: actively participates in public life in its area of presence, supports professional communities.
For IEK GROUP, such social projects are a priority. Their initiator or active participant is the human resources management department. The company participates in training qualified personnel for the industry, conducts educational and career guidance events. Participates in partners' projects: recently, IEK GROUP experts spoke at the XXXIV Open Moscow Engineering Conference of Schoolchildren "Potential", joined the jury of the Moscow children's championship "Masteryata" in the "Electrical Installation" competency.
Supporting industry and professional communities helps exchange experience and build relationships with partners. Natalia Belskaya believes that business will continue to support social initiatives. This benefits both companies and the communities they cooperate with. Furthermore, business participation in social projects is a contribution to Russia's future.
The interview was a continuation of Natalia Belskaya's column in "RBC.Industries", dedicated to the topic of the ESG agenda.
