The next stage of testing for the new FORMAT PRO low-voltage switchgear (LVS) system has been completed. The solution passed all necessary tests for currents up to 4000 A, including destructive tests with thermal withstand currents and dynamic withstand currents for the busbar system.
Among the key tests passed is checking the system's ability to withstand short-circuit currents. Tests were conducted with the following parameters:
- Thermal withstand of busbars is 63 kA for 1 second.
- Dynamic withstand of busbars is 139 kA.
This is approximately 20% more than the indicators in real electrical systems! The FORMAT PRO LVS successfully withstood the loads and remained operational. This means that in case of an accident, the system will be ready for operation immediately after power restoration.
Before and after the test cycle, the FORMAT PRO LVS was tested for its ability to withstand power-frequency voltage and impulse voltage. The system successfully passed all tests and fully retained its functionality. And most importantly — the safety of operating personnel is guaranteed when using the FORMAT PRO LVS.
"Power LVS is one of the most complex and significant components of the power supply system for any facility," says Dmitry Dryuma, Head of the BE "Power Distribution Systems" at IEK GROUP, "therefore it was important for us to thoroughly check its technical capabilities. Our solution successfully passed all tests, confirming the reliability of FORMAT PRO and its resistance to high loads, as well as personnel safety."
FORMAT PRO LVS is a comprehensive solution for uninterrupted power supply. The system is designed based on FORMAT series metal enclosures and ARMAT line active equipment in accordance with GOST 61439. A feature of the solution is its modularity: the new FORMAT PRO LVS is easy to design, produce, and scale.
