FEREKS luminaires are installed in the new terminal of Irkutsk International Airport. They provide bright, even lighting for the parking lot and baggage claim area.
In recent years, passenger traffic in Irkutsk has increased significantly, and the existing airport could no longer handle the load. To solve this problem, a new terminal for arriving flights was built. It is a fast-erected structure made of steel and lightweight aluminum structures. Its total area is 2.6 thousand sq. m. Inside, there is a baggage claim area with two moving belts and a waiting area for 350 transfer passengers.
DSP FEREKS luminaires are used to illuminate the baggage claim and passenger waiting area. A special version with an emergency power unit was made for Irkutsk Airport. Also, as per the customer's technical specification, the luminaires were painted white to match the slatted ceiling color. Customization options for FEREKS project luminaires include adjustment of mounting length, possibility of remote control, setting of power consumption, installation of additional devices and accessories depending on operating conditions. Own production and R&, D allow modifying any luminaire to meet customer requirements.
A large parking lot adjoins the new terminal. FEREKS FHB luminaires illuminate the parking spaces and driveways. Floodlights with luminous efficacy up to 160 lm/W have long proven themselves as a reliable solution not only for industrial and logistics facilities but also for outdoor lighting. The housing is made of an aluminum alloy with a polymer coating, providing increased mechanical strength of the luminaire. A cable gland with a pressure equalization valve prevents moisture from entering the luminaire.
The floodlights are installed on a crown, which reduced the number of lighting poles while ensuring the required brightness. This solution increased the efficiency of the lighting system and reduced installation costs.
