In Moscow, the results of the annual program "Best ESG Projects in Russia" were summarized. IEK GROUP became a laureate in the category "Quality Education. University-Company Cooperation" with the project "Training Highly Qualified Personnel for the Electrical Equipment Industry".

For IEK GROUP, participation in specialist training is one of the priority areas of work. As noted by HR Director of IEK GROUP Natalia Belskaya, the company produces complex electrical equipment and is interested in it being developed and operated by highly qualified specialists.
For this, IEK GROUP engages in personnel training at different levels. It works with leading universities in the country: Kazan State University of Architecture and Engineering, Kazan State Power Engineering University, Mordovian State University named after N.P. Ogarev, National Research University "Moscow Power Engineering Institute" (NRU MPEI), and others.
NRU MPEI has long-standing cooperation with the company. Together, the university and IEK GROUP develop infrastructure for training engineers, conduct scientific research, and participate in creating new developments. NRU MPEI is also an educational partner of the IEK Electricians Championship - the largest professional competition in the industry. Last year, a tripartite memorandum on the creation of the International BRICS+ Competence Center was signed at the championship. It will be organized on the basis of MPEI and will allow developing the "Electrical Installation" competency at the international level.
IEK GROUP also participates in creating education standards. Company specialists moderated the development of the new specification of the International Competency Standard "Electrical Installation". On the initiative of IEK GROUP, special attention is paid to modern competencies of an electrical installer: the automation and work with digital technologies block is expanded, including working with artificial intelligence.
"As a manufacturing company, we know a lot about modern electrical equipment, technologies for its production, and what the market will look like in the coming years. Cooperating with educational institutions, we help them consider market requirements when creating educational programs," says Natalia Belskaya. "Furthermore, in this way we reduce the gap between theory and practice, which helps graduates adapt faster in the workplace after employment."
The "Best ESG Projects in Russia" program identifies the best sustainable development practices in Russian business, emphasizing the importance of a responsible approach to management and development. This year, its organizing committee reviewed over 678 applications from applicants implementing initiatives in the field of sustainable development. However, only 61 companies demonstrated the highest standards. The winners presented projects aimed at reducing environmental footprint, increasing social responsibility, and implementing transparent corporate standards.
