The Ulyanovsk "Kontaktor" plant, recently becoming part of IEK GROUP, has been producing reliable power equipment for over 80 years. Its history began during the Great Patriotic War with the production of items for the front. "Rossiyskaya Gazeta" told about the contribution of the enterprise's workforce to the common Victory.
"Kontaktor" was created in 1941 based on the electrical apparatus shop of the Kharkov Electromechanical Plant evacuated to Ulyanovsk. The plant produced sights for
Workers didn't leave the workshops for days, supplying the front with necessary items, and teenagers worked alongside adults at the plant. Despite the difficulties of wartime, the team overfulfilled the plan, and in 1944 was recognized five times as the best in the Ulyanovsk region.
After the war ended, the enterprise returned to peaceful tracks and focused on producing circuit breakers. In 2020, by order of the Governor of the Ulyanovsk region, JSC "Kontaktor" was awarded the title "Organization of Labor Glory" for the production during the Great Patriotic War of products supplied for the country's defense needs, for the persistence of the team, which with its labor made a significant contribution to the Victory.
In 2023, "Kontaktor," after joining IEK GROUP, began a new stage of its development. Ahead — equipment modernization, investments in production, and expansion of the workforce.
