At the Moscow Power Engineering Institute on June 27, a presentation of the exclusive print run of the book "Histories of Electrical Engineering", released for the 25th anniversary of IEK GROUP, took place. The meeting was led by the book's author, Candidate of Technical Sciences, Doctor of the Academy of Electrical Sciences of the Russian Federation, leading design engineer Dmitry Borodin.
The book "Histories of Electrical Engineering" tells about interesting facts in the development of the industry, the lives of scientists who stood at its origins and made the most notable electrical discoveries. A separate chapter in the book is dedicated to the history of IEK GROUP's formation as one of the market leaders.
At the meeting, the author talked about creating the book and what scientific approach was used to search and process information. Dmitry Borodin shared interesting facts from the history of electrical engineering and also noted IEK GROUP's contribution to the field's development and the company's attention to educational activities.
"For me, cooperation with IEK GROUP, and the company is 25 years old this year, is a great success. It's good that on the Russian market there exists an organization engaged not only in commercial but also in educational activities, popularizing the history of electrical engineering. The values that helped develop the industry coincide with IEK's values. Safety, accessibility, innovation, leadership, reliability — each of these concepts is dedicated a separate chapter in the book. And this is exactly what helps people, drives progress, and allows the electrical industry not to stand still", emphasized Dmitry Borodin.
Natalia Bel'skaya, Director of Human Resources at IEK GROUP:
"The book 'History of Electrical Engineering' became another step to attract attention, including from youth, to the field of electrical engineering. Everything we are proud of now, all industry achievements — all this is the result of the work of generations of electrical engineers. The book introduces the reader to historical events in electrical engineering, allowing to learn who stood at the origins, made discoveries, was the engine of progress. I am confident we will continue to contribute to popularizing professions of the electrical industry, including by releasing such books."
The book presentation became one of numerous events dedicated to the 25th anniversary of IEK GROUP. The event took place at a leading university in the energy industry, with which the company has close and fruitful cooperation and an agreement on establishing long-term partnership relations for developing advanced methods and training technologies, joint scientific research, implementing innovative technologies in education and production.
