The facade of the Blagoveshchensk State Pedagogical University (BSPU) building shines beautifully in the dark. The historic building is illuminated by 149 FEREKS LED luminaires.
BSPU is the oldest and only pedagogical university in the Far East, founded in 1930. It is located in a historic building built in 1912, which was originally constructed for a boys' gymnasium.
The four-story (originally three) brick house is executed in the Russian eclectic style with elements of national architecture and is considered one of the most beautiful in the city.
During renovation, the building facade was restored to its original historic appearance. Including its "original" color: as the publication "Amurskaya Pravda" wrote, specialists carefully removed layer after layer of paint until they reached the very first one. It was a beautiful rich burgundy color.
The Blagoveshchensk University building is an architectural monument. Therefore, the illumination project was agreed upon and approved by the Center for the Preservation of the Historical and Cultural Heritage of the Amur Region. At the experts' request, there are no luminaires on the first floor, and on the rest, they are painted to match the facade color.
The lamps emphasize the building's style, highlighting architectural elements advantageously.
For the project, FEREKS FWL series LED luminaires were chosen. They are intended for architectural illumination of building and structure facades, bridges, monuments, and for garden and park lighting.
Thanks to the DMX-512 digital protocol, luminaires can be combined into a common network and controlled individually from a common console, creating a unique lighting project.
