Construction workers handed over the building of the new air terminal in Magadan ahead of schedule. For local residents, this event is of great importance: aviation here is the only type of long-distance passenger transport. During the airport reconstruction, products from brands included in the IEK GROUP portfolio were used — ARFA ceiling systems and ONI industrial automation equipment.
The new terminal was built to replace the outdated one, which could not cope with the needs of passengers and transport organizers. The three-story building is adorned with a golden-colored wave-shaped roof; glass walls make it bright and "airy." As the Far Eastern resource primamedia.ru writes, the project developers tried to convey the features of nature, the wealth of subsoil, and the labor achievements of the Magadan Region through the building's exterior.
After reconstruction, the area of the air terminal complex increased to 14.4 thousand sq. m. Its passenger capacity will be up to 800 passengers per hour. The terminal is equipped with 15 check-in counters, an automated baggage handling and delivery system, two telescopic jetways, as well as additional exits to apron buses.
During reconstruction, ARFA ceiling systems were used in the building — a suspended covering consisting of slats mounted into triangles forming a wave on the ceiling. Also, perforated cassette ceilings were supplied to the facility. They are produced at the IEK GROUP production site located in Tatarstan and are popular due to their simplicity and beauty of use.
ARFA produces ceiling systems of various dimensions, colors, and profiles — wave-shaped, curvilinear, on hooks. They are reliable, durable, easy to install and operate.
The new airport in Magadan also installed ONI capacitive panels. These devices allow the operator to monitor equipment operation and control it. The panels are equipped with a multi-touch screen, have extended functionality, and are adapted to harsh industrial operating conditions. Software for creating user applications is supplied free of charge.
