A New Year's gift for young athletes — residents of Podolsk was the grand opening after the reconstruction of the Greco-Roman wrestling hall at MU SC "Trud".
The opening of the renovated hall, which has become not only functional but also cozy, was attended by the head of the city district Grigory Artamonov, Honored Coach of Russia, President of the Podolsk Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation Valery Romanov, Olympic champion Shamil Hisamutdinov, Vice President of IEK GROUP Valery Adlyukov, and others. The participation of IEK GROUP in the solemn event is not accidental: for 14 years, the company has been the general sponsor of the Podolsk Greco-Roman Wrestling Federation. It was IEK GROUP that implemented the capital repair project of the hall, replacing the lighting system, updating the cladding and painting the walls, repairing locker rooms, showers and toilet rooms, and modernizing the ventilation system.
"I am sure that now training will be even more effective," noted Grigory Artamonov. "To date, over 200 athletes from 7 to 30 years old train in the hall. Among them is the bronze medalist of the Tokyo Olympics, two-time European champion, world champion, and multiple Russian champion Sergey Yemelin."
"We manufacture products that help direct and manage electrical energy. Sport is also managed energy," said Valery Adlyukov, wishing victories to the young athletes.
At IEK GROUP, they do not forget that the most effective way to educate the younger generation is the personal example of adults. Young athletes have already appreciated the hall renovation — immediately after the opening, the Podolsk Greco-Roman wrestling championship "Prize of the Winter Holidays" started here. Moreover, on the first day of the competition, there were simply no losers — representatives of IEK GROUP presented each participant with a New Year's gift.
