At the Kazan State Power Engineering University, the "Automation in Electric Power Engineering" laboratory, created jointly with IEK GROUP, opened.

In the laboratory, students will be able to study modern technologies in the field of industrial automation and drive control, learn in practice to configure human-machine interface, work with logic relays and frequency converters. In the near future — creating a full automation pyramid on IEK and ONI equipment using MasterSCADA software.
On the opening day of the laboratory, a round table was organized where representatives of IEK GROUP and Kazan Power Engineering University discussed cooperation prospects. Among future joint projects — implementation of the State Program of Strategic Academic Leadership "Priority 2030".
— According to the "Priority-2030" development program, we face the task of strengthening and expanding both the educational and scientific material and technical base. IEK GROUP has long been participating in this process and helps KSPEU equip scientific and educational platforms, says Igor Ivshin, Vice-Rector for Science and Commercialization of KSPEU.
Cooperation between the university and the company has lasted over 10 years. An IEK GROUP classroom functions at the university; joint events have been held repeatedly. In 2019, KSPEU became the host of the IEK GROUP Championship, which brought together the strongest electrical engineers from 6 countries and 8 industrial corporations of Russia.
