IEK GROUP presented ideas and developments for the urban environment at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. Ekaterina Kugaevskaya, Head of the Business Unit "Equipment for Distribution and Transmission of Electricity" at IEK GROUP, spoke as an invited expert in the panel discussion "Architecture — A New Language of Interaction: How Urbanism Unites Business, Culture, and People in Shaping the Cities of the Future". She noted that technological solutions should align with trends in design, architecture, and the urban environment.
"Human life in a city is a constant struggle with background discomfort from traffic jams, noise, and crowds. A metropolis dweller vitally needs a space where they can completely relax and feel protected," believes Ekaterina.
Such a space can be created using IEK GROUP products developed in accordance with the principles of modern urbanism: a "smart" home, lighting architecture, wiring devices supporting contemporary trends in architecture and design.
Management of the "smart" home will be fully realized through the company's software. It employs the modern Matter protocol, which will allow connecting any devices — thermostats, dimmers, lighting, USB sockets — into the system and controlling all appliances from one remote. It is enough to set life support parameters once and not think about them anymore.
Another tool is lighting architecture, i.e., harmoniously organized lighting. IEK's assortment allows creating any lighting solution for both private apartments and industrial facilities. This is especially relevant in Russian regions with few sunny days. IEK wiring devices, such as the FORTE&PIANO series, are developed in accordance with trends towards minimalism and comfort: minimal details, ease of installation, ability to easily change the number of wiring devices in a design project.
Developing and producing relevant products and solutions allow IEK GROUP to be an active participant in the community creating the cities of the future. Quality equipment for power supply is the foundation of a comfortable life for modern humans.
