IEK GROUP, one of the Russian leaders in the production of comprehensive electrical solutions and industrial automation, announces the launch of a new plant in the city of Balabanovo in the Kaluga Region. Investments in the construction and equipping of the production building amounted to about 2 billion rubles.
The enterprise specializes in the production of metal cable management systems (MCMS) — a key element for creating safe and reliable engineering networks for power supply, communications, and automation at industrial and civil facilities.
Andrey Zabelin, General Director of IEK GROUP:
"Modernization of Russian industry and development of residential and commercial construction stimulate demand growth for solutions for power supply and automation. The launch of cable management systems production in Balabanovo is a strategic initiative of the company aimed at satisfying this demand. It is planned that by 2027, the share of the plant's products in the IEK GROUP revenue structure will be about 10%, and in the future, it will become the basis for creating a company production cluster in the Kaluga Region. In general, localization of production is a strategic priority of IEK GROUP's development."
Vladislav Shapsha, Governor of the Kaluga Region:
"The launch of the new IEK GROUP plant in Balabanovo is an important event not only for the company but also for the Kaluga Region. The region consistently creates conditions for the development of modern industry and high-tech production, and we see that these efforts yield results. IEK GROUP's investments of about 2 billion rubles constituted about 1.4% of the total investments in the region's fixed capital — this is a significant contribution that directly contributes to economic growth, creation of new jobs, and strengthening of the region's industrial potential."

The area of the new IEK GROUP enterprise is about 30 thousand sq. meters. The plant's production system includes five automated lines ensuring a full cycle of manufacturing solid and ladder trays. When reaching maximum capacity, the number of employees will reach 400 people.
The location of the new production in the Kaluga Region will also allow IEK GROUP to optimize the logistics chain between sites in the Moscow region and production in Yasnogorsk, Tula Region.
