IEK GROUP together with the Russian developer company "SiSoft Development" presents a new cable management systems database for the comprehensive 3D design system Model Studio CS. The solution includes almost 8700 SKUs of metal trays, profiles, and accessories and is designed to significantly speed up and simplify the process of designing complex engineering systems.
The new database is developed for specialists working in the field of industrial and civil construction and contains a complete list of IEK metal cable management systems.
The library includes:
- sheet, ladder, and wire mesh trays
- profiles, brackets, and other supporting structures
- accessories and fastening hardware.
Each model in the database is supplied with a detailed attribute set, including geometric parameters (length, height, width, type of protective coating), as well as all necessary data for generating specifications: order name, article number, regulatory document, manufacturer, and weight.
The IEK cable management systems database provides designers with broad capabilities:
- Efficient installation of support structures. Intuitive positioning of brackets on the route using "handles" and subsequent installation of racks with reference to them.
- Accelerated route construction using mini-catalogs. The system automatically places all necessary connectors — vertical and horizontal corner turns, minimizing errors and saving time.
- Flexible work with cable sections, combining support structures and mini-catalog routes. You can use typical solutions or create unique projects with subsequent album formation.
- Error control via hierarchical lists. You can manually change parameters such as width, height, thickness, and also select the album offered by the manufacturer. The system highlights elements with discrepancies, allowing quick error correction and obtaining a correct specification.
