What does a young family do first when they get a family nest? Right, renovation. That's what the heroes of an episode of the program "Kvartirny Vopros" on NTV did. The updated living room is illuminated by IEK luminaires and lamps, electricity is supplied through FORTE&PIANO WDs.
The apartment previously belonged to the new hostess's grandmother and grandfather, and the last renovation was done 30 years ago. Dark walls, dark furniture — everything in the living room required updating. For all surfaces, the designer chose one shade — creamy. To it, FORTE&PIANO series sockets and switches in "vanilla" color perfectly matched.
The concept of this collection is simple and brilliant: you don't need to limit yourself in the number of sockets; you can assemble a row of wiring devices of any length. FORTE&PIANO has no frames: sockets and switches connect to each other like construction kit parts, and end caps are installed at the row edges. If necessary, new posts can easily be added to such a chain. The unique frameless design is patented. The collection was developed jointly with the architectural bureau Architime Design and became a winner of one of the largest and most prestigious world design competitions, the iF DESIGN AWARD, in the "Product Design" (Building Technology) category.
FORTE&PIANO WDs are made of high-quality polycarbonate, which together with the tinned current-carrying group ensure long service life. The front panel is installed without screws: just press to install it, and gently pull to remove. The collection has almost fifty variants: single and double elements, with grounding and without, with protective shutters and without, with motion sensor and with HDMI module. One of the most interesting products — slider socket: its cover slides up, not opening at an angle like others. Such sockets can be installed close to furniture and low near the floor; they are excellent for wet conditions of kitchen or bathroom. The WDs are made in five main colors — white, vanilla, steel, gray, and black, and three additional: beige, chocolate, aluminum.
Walls of creamy shade were complemented by furniture in pastel tones with bright accents. To illuminate them, IEK 4110 recessed decorative luminaires were mounted into the ceiling — ten spotlights with housings made of durable heat-resistant plastic. They are excellent for main lighting, creating light accents, and zoning space: light direction is easily changed using a swivel mechanism. They are installed in stretch and suspended ceilings.
For the spotlights, the project authors selected "Honest Watts" IEK LED lamps, namely PAR16 reflector 5 W. Parameters of IEK lamps fully correspond to those indicated on the packaging; the bulbs shine brightly and last long. The switching driver guarantees long stable lamp operation at voltage from 150 to 260 V, protects against overloads, overheating, and short circuit. The Anti blue-light system protects eyes from the negative impact of blue light. LEDs do not overheat, increasing bulb resource, and generate significantly less heat than incandescent and halogen lamps.
The living room was transformed. As the apartment owners noted, it is now a place where you just want to relax and not think about anything.
