The Voznesensky Tract built in Kazan is illuminated by FEREKS DKU luminaires. More than 1400 bracket-mounted luminaires are installed along the first section.
The Voznesensky Tract is an outgoing highway in the east of the capital of the Republic of Tatarstan and one of the most large-scale infrastructure projects in Kazan in recent years. Interestingly, as the business-gazeta.ru portal writes, the corridor for the highway was laid in the general plan for the city's development back in 1969. The road unloads the automobile routes of the densely populated Sovetsky District, in particular the Mamadyshsky Tract, and gives motorists an alternative route out of the city.
The road is six-lane (three lanes in each direction); for pedestrian safety, pedestrian and bicycle paths are arranged, and overground and underground crossings are built.
For payment for travel on the road, the barrier-free "Free Flow" system works. Motorists do not need to stop at toll collection points: road cameras record the vehicle license plate, a computer determines the vehicle class. Based on this data, an invoice is generated, which must be paid on the website.
For lighting the first section of the tract, more than 1400 FEREKS DKU luminaires are installed. These are durable and reliable products made of extruded aluminum. The luminaires have a color temperature of 4000 K, a light distribution curve type Ш2, and power from 68 to 260 W.

Besides roads, such luminaires are intended for squares, blocks, and outdoor lighting of various facilities. Can operate in a temperature range from -40 to +50 °C, which is confirmed by tests. Protected from dust and moisture ingress, withstand multiple impacts, have IP66 protection rating, guaranteeing their stable operation in the harshest operating conditions. The luminaires also provide the possibility of remote control and brightness adjustment (dimming).
