At the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok", the thematic session "TechLeaders: Energy, Electrical Engineering, Automation" has ended. 30 gifted teenagers from 12 regions of Russia took part in the session. The young "orlyonki" got acquainted with new technologies and passed the competitive selection for the final of the International Festival of Scientific and Technical Creativity of Children and Youth, organized by the Agency for the Development of Professional Skills.

The "TechLeaders" session was organized by IEK GROUP and the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok" with the support of the leading industry university, the National Research University "MPEI". Over 20 days, the children, who passed a strict competitive selection, studied technologies in the field of automation, dispatching, and renewable energy. At the end of the session, participants developed and defended leadership scientific and technical projects that could be in demand in the field of organizing electrical facilities and auditing power grids.

"The 'TechLeaders' educational program is being held in our center for the first time, and we are already noting serious results: children are genuinely interested in studying energy. This is extremely important, because the Russian energy system today, like never before, needs qualified personnel who can ensure reliable and sustainable development of the industry in the future," noted Alexander Dzeus, Director of the All-Russian Children's Center "Orlyonok".

Based on the results of the specialized session, each participant was awarded a certificate of commendation signed by the Rector of the National Research University "MPEI".
"We want to show that the electrical engineering direction is no less attractive than, for example, information technology. Moreover, any electrical engineering now works at the intersection with IT," says Mikhail Pogrebissky, Director of the Institute of Electrical Engineering and Electrification of MPEI. "In the future, we would like to see these children as our applicants who will then become strong engineers capable of multiplying and continuing Russia's technical glory."
The development and defense of projects took place within the framework of qualifying competitions for the final of the International Festival of Scientific and Technical Creativity of Children and Youth. It is held with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the ANO "Agency for Strategic Initiatives to Promote New Projects", and the State Corporation "Rosatom". The festival is a key event for the development of engineering thinking among youth, forming additional tools to support young engineers striving to develop in leading industries.

"Our company has been creating opportunities for young talents for over 10 years. This is our contribution to the future," says Petr Nekrasov, Head of the Department for Work with Expert Communities and Educational Institutions of IEK GROUP. "If we help a teenager get acquainted with our industry today, tomorrow they will be able to choose their favorite profession correctly, become an outstanding engineer or scientist, and will develop the domestic industry for the benefit of our country."
