There Are Special Vacancies for Women in the Electrical Field
IEK GROUP attracts women to the industry, including by holding an electricians' championship. This format helps break stereotypes about the profession. "We see that girls are actively studying the field of electrical engineering and participating in the championship on par with men," notes IEK GROUP HR Director Natalia Belskaya. However, the goals of such competitions are broader: they help popularize the profession as a whole and talk about changes in it. For example, if before an electrician manually went through the entire system to add switches to an apartment and make changes to an already assembled and configured electrical panel, now it's enough to change some settings. "With high-tech products, you need to know how to work; there must be specialists who know exactly how to install the products correctly. Most equipment failures occur precisely because they were installed incorrectly. Therefore, the manufacturer needs to develop electricians' competencies and improve their qualifications," explains Natalia Belskaya.
